The Goliard, Literary Arts Magazine

  • Hand selected students through personal interviews for magazine staff.

  • Led five departments in submission selections and magazine finalization.

  • Organized and facilitated events concerning submissions and promotion to help improve Wooster’s fine arts community. 

  • Managed budgetary and administrative aspects of the magazine.

 

Ceramic Shop Technician                                                                            Spring 2015 – Spring 2016

College of Wooster, Department of Art

  • Maintained all shop kilns, kiln furniture, and overall state of the firing room.

  • Made and maintained glazes for all ceramic classes as well as the overall upkeep of the glaze room and tools.

  • Day to day upkeep of ceramic classroom and tools.

  • Organized and recorded all dry goods to aide in ordering of materials for classroom projects.

 

Research Experience

Junior Thesis

Department of Art, College of Wooster

  • Completed a semester long thesis entitled ‘Narrative of Melancholy’.

  • Participated in class critiques and discussions about my own work as well as the work of my peers.

  • Thesis included a paper that defended and reasoned the pieces made for the junior class art showcase.

Senior Thesis

Department of Art, College of Wooster

  • A one-year exploration about the effects of stress on the human form, which culminated into an end of the year art exhibit.

  • Met weekly with faculty advisor to discuss ideas, problems, progress and analyzed future artistic endeavors.

  • Participated in critiques with the senior class, from all mediums, to further ideas and problem solve.

  • Designed and installed all art and lighting for senior exhibit.

  • Wrote a thesis paper to defend and explain sculptures presented in the art exhibit as well overall ideas, processes, and set-up.

  • Articulated and defended all decisions in front of a 3-person committee that was chosen at the beginning of the school year.

  • Participated in the end of year senior showcase with the entire senior class.

*Simultaneously completed a second thesis for Psychology, which included a study, thesis paper, and defense of reasoning and findings.
